RUT241 models feature SGP.22 eSIM architecture alongside a physical Mini-SIM slot. Cellular carrier compatibility and
specific eSIM features depend on the specific product order code.

## Executive Summary & Core Capabilities

The **Teltonika RUT241** is an industrial 4G LTE Wi-Fi router designed to keep critical equipment connected to the
internet. It automatically switches between internet sources (like wired Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and 4G cellular data) if your
main connection fails. Equipped with **eSIM support**, it can hold multiple digital SIM profiles remotely, making it
ideal for solar sites, smart cities, and automated equipment.

<callout color="green" icon="i-lucide-shield-alert">

**Automated Network Redundancy:** Provides automatic WAN failover between Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Cellular interfaces.
Priority rules trigger switching based on connection health metrics, ICMP ping checks, or LCP echo requests.

- **Reliable Backup Internet:** If your main internet line cuts out, the router instantly switches to cellular data or
backup Wi-Fi so connected machines, cameras, or payment terminals never go offline.
- **Built-in eSIM Capability:** Contains a built-in digital SIM. Mobile networks can be downloaded and switched over the
air without changing physical SIM cards.
- **Heavy-Duty Enclosure:** Built with a tough metal shell rated to withstand freezing conditions and extreme heat
inside outdoor cabinets.
