<note>

The Rosemount Wireless WT210 utilizes high-efficiency ultrasonic waveguides to thermally isolate the sensitive
electronics housing from extreme process pipe temperatures. This design allows continuous wall thickness measurement

## Executive Summary & Core Capabilities

The **Rosemount™ Wireless WT210 Corrosion and Erosion Transmitter** (formerly Permasense WT210) is a non-intrusive,
battery-powered ultrasonic wall thickness monitoring system engineered for high-temperature industrial piping and
pressure vessels. Designed to operate without liquid couplant or process shutdowns, the transmitter continuously
calculates metal loss with sub-10 micron precision and delivers real-time trend analytics to facility management
software.

<callout color="green" icon="i-lucide-shield-check">

**Real-Time Metal Loss Precision:** The WT210 delivers real-world metal loss detection better than **10
microns (0.5 mil0.5\text{ mil}0.5 mil)**. By transmitting thickness measurements at user-configurable intervals over a WirelessHART®
network, operations teams can correlate corrosion spikes directly with process fluid changes.

- **Zero Process Downtime:** Attaches directly to the outside of pipes and vessels without drilling, cutting, or
interrupting fluid flow.
- **No Maintenance Required:** Operates on an internal high-capacity battery pack for up to 9 years without maintenance
or couplant replenishment.
- **Weld-Free Universal Installation:** Optional Universal Mount strap kit enables rapid installation on pipes up

## Mounting & Power Requirements

<warning>

Do not insulate over more than **6 inches (150 mm)** of the transmitter waveguides. The exposed waveguide area
dissipates high process heat to protect the sensitive transmitter electronics. Always ensure the included
stainless-steel heatshield is fitted before re-applying pipe insulation.
